Karate

Many people envision Karate and the martial arts as they are depicted in the movies. Nothing could be further from the truth. Karate is not about prolonged violent fighting scenes where people are being maimed and killed!!! Karate is not about violence at all. It is about respect, confidence, control of oneself, and humility.

Everyone can benefit from the study of Karate, for children training installs mental and physical discipline to prepare them for a healthy adult life, our Tiny tiger and Junior classes allow each child to develop at their own pace and reach their full potential. We even run Child and parent classes so you can develop and reach your own goals, along with your child.

Adults too benefit greatly from training. Karate bring increased flexibility, stress relief and the conditioning can counteract weight and health problems, all major groups are strengthened and toned, including the heart. Self defence is a major part of the training which can develop self confidence.

There are a great many reasons for learning Karate. There is a lot more to training than just learning self-defence techniques, blocking punching and kicking drills, which there are many. Whether you decide to jointhe physical and mental conditioning bringing increased fitness, the movie theatrics or just the camaraderie of joining a local and friendly club such as ours, there is nothing as much fun as well rounded Karate.
